Reich/Reverberations
Sō Percussion, Ensemble Signal, JACK Quartet
Conductor Brad Lubman
This three-concert series pays tribute to “America’s greatest living composer” (Village Voice). Three of New York’s leading contemporary music ensembles—Sō Percussion, Ensemble Signal conducted by Brad Lubman, and JACK Quartet—perform a selection of Reich’s classic chamber works, including the breakthrough work Drumming, the Pulitzer Prize–winning Double Sextet, Different Trains (Grammy, 1989), and Music for 18 Musicians (Grammy, 1998), widely considered one of the foundational works of American minimalism.
